Play with your Food

We left the table after lunch the other day and went to play - I came back to find this...

We have rule about no toys at the table...but my sneaky little guy had loaded up his tractors with a harvest of grapes.  As I admired his handy work he came back with his trains - apparently he needed more cargo space.  So, I relented and let him play with his food.  Why not break the rules sometimes, especially in the name of more fresh fruit and veggies?

Not to be outdone, my daughter brought the Barbie Jeep and loaded it up (it can hold significantly more produce - after about a dozen grapes she had to ask if she could save some for later!).  

These grapes are flying around the room - can't you tell?  He really got into it, so I got out some carrots and snap peas - he ate those, too!

Oh, and I meant to post this on Saturday, as a Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all, my lovely readers.  Luck is good all year round, right?  Here's my little shamrock on the table - we were so very excited to find a pink one (and by we, I mean my design assistant).
