Remember my very first post way back nearly 20 years ago - oh wait, no, it was just in September of last year! But, I've met so many wonderful, inspiring, talented people, it just seems like it must have been longer than 4 months since I started this little homemade blog! Well, back in the day, I started some ivy in that cool test tube holder I got from Sneezer222 on Etsy. This is ivy from my wedding bouquet and an arrangement we received when my oldest child was born - so it's pretty & sentimental!
Well, these poor little guys long ago grew roots and desperately needed to be repotted - lucky for them, JoAnns had a sweet sale on these eco-friendly pots a few weeks ago and I picked up some in my new favorite colors - red & turquoise.
To keep in moisture and add some pretty to the top of my pots, I harvested some moss from the bumper crop this wet, warm winter has produced in the yard. The nice thing is that at least its green - we don't have much grass due to all the trees! The sad thing is my husband wants to try to grow grass this spring, so much of my lovely moss will be going under the tiller . . . maybe - we'll see about that, won't we?And look what I found whilst wondering in my lovely yard! A little bit of love from the Big Guy - after all, it is technically St. Valentine's Day :) I promise I didn't do anything to change the setting of this little bit of nature's love - I just captured it to share with all of you!
And the instagram version (because I love this new app!)
Happy crafting for your loved ones this Valentine's season!
