Have you ever seen something you just had to buy? I have this happen to me a lot - especially when it comes to a good deal. So, the other day I was looking through Dick Blick's website for the latest and greatest in crafting supply deals, and I came across a listing for 50 lb. of burlap remnants. I did some math (which took me a while, and two calculators) and figured out that the remnants were exquisitely cheap. Like, less than a third of the cost of buying it by the yard. Did I have a moment where I wondered what I would do with 50 lb. of burlap remnants? Yes, yes I did. But, I overcame my doubts, and now I am the proud owner of this:
This only showcases the top 1/3 of the box - I didn't have enough room to spread it all out! I would say the box was about 2 FEET x 3 FEET in size. This, my friends, is a lot of burlap. But, I've already found so many ideas...like this "merry" banner from Joy at Storycrafting.
And wouldn't these posterboard trees from Cyndy at the Creativity Exchange look super-FAB covered in burlap? I think so!
Stay tuned for posts on all the great things I make with my latest amazing find!
